Prof. Roman Szewczyk holds a PhD and DSc in mechatronics. His research centers on symbolic regression and its industrial applications, particularly in quality monitoring and production data engineering. Actively collaborating with industry partners, he develops advanced symbolic regression systems and uses artificial neural networks for tomography and cost prediction. His current work also includes applying convolutional neural networks to industrial image processing and robotic control, especially in the closed-cycle manufacturing of electronic devices.
